My loved one is in the Sarasota County Jail and needs medication, what can I do?

We have heard numerous complaints that the Sarasota County Jail is not providing inmates with their medication. Sarasota County Jail medical is handled by a company called Armor Correctional. Armor Correctional has indicated that, upon intake, they reevaluate inmate prescription needs to determine what medication the inmate will receive. If they determine that the inmate does not need medication or that the inmate needs a different brand of medication than the inmate has historically taken, they may then change or completely discontinue the medication.

If you or your loved one has an established relationship with a physician who prescribed particular medication, and the jail is not honoring that prescription, call our attorneys at (941) 444-5128 for a free consultation.
