Guide to Drug Crimes--Part 3

What are Some Possible Penalties?

In addition to some penalties already discussed, drug crimes bring some standard sanctions. Among the variable sanctions are community service hours, drug evaluations and treatment, the mandatory attendance of narcotics anonymous meetings, and other various things a prosecutor or judge could ask for. The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will also suspend one's driver's license for two years upon conviction of a drug crime.

While this guide is not meant to be an authority on all drug crimes, hopefully it will have given you some idea of what you or someone you know may be dealing with. For more information call (941)444-5128 and check out our drug crimes page.
